CLASSES will be held at  St. John’s Norway Church, once a week, for 40 min, and limited to 12 children, plus a parent or caregiver if applicable. The material is structured around the participants, and no two terms are ever alike!

The 8-wk Winter term runs:
SAT: Jan 4 – Mar 1st
TUE: Jan 7 – Feb 25

There will be NO CLASSES FAMILY DAY weekend (Feb 15). In the event of an unscheduled cancelled class, it will be made up at the end of the session (Mar 4-8).

Missed classes can be made up within the term, in any appropriate age group, by pre-arrangement, or may be transferred to a sibling or friend who would like to try a class. 🙂

“WIGGLERS & WANDERERS” ~ born in ’23 & ’24
We’ll learn songs & rhymes for clapping, tickling, playing peekaboo, bouncing on laps, swinging, rocking and more! Specially designed instruments will be there for them to safely explore aurally and orally. Puppets that “Quack” or “Moo” and little dances for two heighten the enjoyment until Lullaby Time brings a soothing close. Tue 11:30 & 1:30

“FAMILY MUSIC” ~ all ages
There’s no age limit; all that’s needed is an interest in having fun making music together! We’ll sing, clap, tickle, dance, gallop, bounce & swing, and play a different set of instruments every week (drums, bells, shakers, tambourines, finger cymbals, castanets & more!). Families/caregivers with just one child are welcome, too. (15% discount for siblings, n/c for babies under 4 months old or asleep.) Sat 9:30

“RHYTHMATICS” ~ JK/SK & Gr 1
Focus is on playfully discovering rhythms, developing beat and vocal skills, and exploring pitch & dynamics through songs, rhymes, stories, games and creative movement. We’ll play xylophones and all kinds of drums, shakers, bells, tambourines, and more! Musical literacy will be introduced. Sat 10:25

“U-CAN UKULELE!” ~ 6 yr +  
The ukulele has been shown to be one of the most versatile instruments around, and one of the best to get started on, at any age. (It’s a good size for little hands, it’s portable, affordable, and… it’s fun!) Students must provide their own instrument (GCEA tuning).  Tue 4:20 & 5:00 (for children/teens with little or no previous experience), Wed 4:50 (for students who completed last year’s program or have some experience). Private classes can also be arranged: $35/30 minutes.

~ Ukulele classes will be held at 472 Milverton Blvd (4 B N of Danforth, 1/2 B E of Coxwell). (Please note: there is no indoor waiting room at that location.)
